When I was 16 years old I got my first job in a hotel as a general help doing a bit of everything. I loved it so much as a result I decided to apply to a hospitality and management college. Throughout my studies I worked in hotels, pastry shops, restaurants and as event staff.

During my time at university studying a masters degree in Economics and Management I was working in my parents company. I then entered the real world and found my first job in the hospitality industry. 

During that time I always found it very effortless to sort things and organise them. Finding the best system and set up for a particular space so work can flow easily was so natural to me. Hospitality is a fast paced industry the more organised you are the smoother your work is and the faster and more efficient with your time you are. After closing time you are cleaning all the equipment, work space and tools to a very high standard so everything is food safe. Most of my colleagues saw it as a necessity bit boring however for me it was my favourite part of the day. In addition my experience in my parents company showed me that a system is not just important to only organise physical things but having a great system in your admin is as important.

Eventually my friends asked me for help and advice on how to organise their home or sort and box things up before they moved. Gradually I realised that decluttering, organising, finding a system and cleaning is my passion and it would be my dream job. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a company that was offering such a position so with the saying “do what you love and you will never work a day in your life” in mind in February 2022 Simplify and Clean was born.
